Heart Attack, Cardiac Arrest and Stroke are three different terms. In fact they all connected with the heart but they have different manifestations and impacts on the body. In order to get proper treatment or to help someone in trouble is good to know how to recognize these conditions.
Heart attack represents a problem with circulation. As you know blood flows through the body carrying oxygen, in some point when the blood flow is obstructed and cannot get to the heart muscle and if it is not acting on time the muscle will dye and this results with heart attack.
The heart keeps beating when the person is having a heart attack.
Here are the heart attack symptoms which can occur early on and last several days.
- Pain in chest (angina): Frequently described as heaviness amidst the mid-section, and confused with heartburn. It can come and go in a matter of minutes.
- Aches in the body: pain in the neck, abdomen, back, jaw, and arms, particularly the left one
- Lacking of breath and wheezing.
- Cold sweating
- Feeling dizziness and lightheadedness
- Developed tension
You cannot treat these manifestations with home cures or solutions, since they are joined with the heart, and not to the digestive or some other system.
This condition is called an electrical disorder. This condition is represented with irregular heart pulsation and a quick stop of the blood pumping all through the body. This condition is known as cardiac arrest.
In this heart condition the pulse stops completely.
