How To Remove Earwax Plug At Home

When too much wax is collected in the ear, a plug forms, sometimes causing hearing problems, sometimes not. Doctors advise not to use cotton wool ear sticks when cleaning your ears but instead to clean them regularly with little and no intrusive methods.

Earwax lowers the risk of infection and prevents the ear canal from feeling uncomfortable and itchy. It also helps to reduce the irritation that water causes when it enters the ear canal.

However, it is possible for the body to overproduce earwax, allowing it to build up and block the ear canal. A blockage can also occur if a person cleans their ears using a cotton swab, as this can push the earwax further into the ear canal.

The medical term for an earwax blockage is a cerumen impaction. People can usually treat this condition at home using simple household products.

Here’s how to remove the earwax plug at home without problems:

The ear stick can push the wax plug even deeper than it already is, so it’s not a good solution. Moreover, you shouldn’t use the cotton sticks when you clean your ears because there is a chance of hurting your eardrum.

Remove the wax plugs with olive oil

You can use olive oil to clean your wax ears as follows: pour a few drops of olive oil into your ear, then lie down on your ear for 15 minutes. After this time, turn your head so that the oil can drain from the ear on a paper towel or a towel. Repeat the process for the other ear, and in the next days you have to do this twice a day.

To clean your ears from oil, put a little lukewarm water in a syringe and inject the liquid into your ear, leaning over the sink. Be careful not to force the syringe!

Hygienic water against wax plugs

You find hydrogen peroxide at any pharmacy, and the price is very affordable. Pour the water at room temperature into your ear and let it work until you hear it no longer sizzling – it’s best to sit lying on the fbed with your ear up. Finally, hold a towel and turn your head to let the water drain into it. Repeat daily until the problem is resolved.
